As the Clinical Coverage, Virtual Provider – MD, you will provide medical services to primary care patients seeking care through telehealth. Your care supplements the existing support offered by primary care providers and their teams, ensuring patients have access to the care they need. While delivering care through virtual modalities, you will work collaboratively with primary care teams and specialty care providers to maintain continuity and consistency in patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual evaluations and manage acute clinical needs for adult primary care patients, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and timely documentation
  • Demonstrate empathy and effective communication in patient and family interactions, while adhering to quality, productivity, and patient experience standards
  • Support virtual care operations through inbox management, outreach, population health activities, and mentoring of new clinicians
  • Participate in departmental activities including meetings, utilization review, teaching, and continuous professional development

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Unrestricted licensure in the state of Massachusetts or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice or Internal Medicine
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficient in telehealth, including all telehealth applications (Vidyo, Facetime, and Telephonic care), and working with a remote team
  • Proficient in and understand the complexities of billing for telehealth care

Preferred Qualification:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $229,500 to $378,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
