Job Summary
The Global Travel Manager is responsible for managing ZOLL's travel program and ensuring compliance with the travel policy. This includes negotiating contracts with travel partners, such as airlines, hotels, and car rental companies, and managing relationships with these partners to ensure the best possible service and rates for the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor and analyze travel spend and trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing strategies to minimize travel expenses.

  • Balance traveler experience and needs with fiscal responsibilities to create a positive experience.

  • Benchmark our partner relationships to ensure quality service for our employees and competitive rates.

  • Lead and provide direction to the various travel partners, establish periodic business reviews and drive proactive program improvements.

  • Manage soft dollar programs with the various travel partners.

  • Communication with ZOLL’s travelers, to include relevant travel news, cultural and security awareness when travelers are outside of their country, promotion of policy and program responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with global colleagues to manage the travel program and related technologies in all locations.

  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, changes in regulations or requirements related to travel, such as visa or passport requirements, to ensure compliance and avoid any travel disruptions.

  • Approve travel as needed when travel is outside travel policy compliance.

  • Assist and work with all departments with regard to all aspects of the travel program, including any employee relocation support.

  • Review T&E Policy on a yearly basis with all Global offices.

  • Periodically survey all travelers resulting in appropriate action plans.

  • Sourcing strategy, negotiation, contract execution, policy development and compliance, cost savings, provider and program performance management, communications and associated travel security and awareness programs.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 10+ years Managing travel in all aspects required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the Travel Industry

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Analytical skills

  • Ability to trouble shoot issues and resolve/recommend solutions

  • Open-minded and work with all offices/staff, worldwide. Knowledge/sensitivity to cultural differences.

  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.

  • Must have the ability to work within a team environment and be able to positively influence business areas that may be required to deal with change.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
