Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Technical Project Manager to join our Software Engineering team in Waltham, MA. In this role, you will lead complex software development projects through research, development, clinical trials, and successful commercialization. As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for execution of software roadmap and delivering projects on-time and ensuring the teams are always unblocked and clear on project deliverables. Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex software development efforts.
• Develop, apply, and coach teams in best practices for software project management, including Agile and SAFe.
• Lead scrum ceremonies including daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives as well as conduct PI planning meetings.
• Utilize metrics like backlog health, burn-up charts, predictability and quality to drive teams
• Drive accountability and execution of team members to project priorities.
• Lead technical and design reviews of projects.
• Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues and concerns to appropriate functional leadership.
• Report project status to the program, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Manage project changes to support the business needs.
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be openly raised and resolved, including productive conflict resolution.
• Gain cooperation and commitment from people through influence, not authority.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience on software product development projects, including at least 2 years in medical devices.
• Proven success leading and inspiring small and large teams
• Expertise with Agile or Scaled Agile methodology
• Demonstrated experience in medium to large Agile Projects
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency, drive for results, and creative problem solving.
• High proficiency and comfort with Jira software.
• Motivational and leadership skills to keep the team engaged and executing on schedule.
