About the Role:
As a Financial Planning Manager for ELM, you will independently execute specialized financial tasks and ensure the quality of financial reports and analysis. Your insights and expertise will directly influence organizational financial planning, strategy, and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
• Independently prepare reporting of monthly results, provide variance analysis, expense management and headcount management for ELM.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide insights.
• Develop and refine sophisticated financial models.
• Support annual budget development, analysis and reporting for the ELM business unit by preparing and delivering timely and accurate prior period results and current run rates (e.g., department spending by account) to each business function for building budgets and plans; consolidating functional budgets; reviewing with senior leaders; iterating and adjusting until plans and budgets are approved by Finance and ELM leadership; and tracking actual activity monthly against plan.
• Contribute to the multi-year strategic planning process by providing financial support, collaborative insights on business strategy, and coordinating the compilation of all deliverables
• Analyze and interpret sales and profit-and-loss statements.
• Collaborate on strategic financial planning initiatives and contribute to the preparation of recommendations for ELM management.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and guidelines. Ensure adherence to corporate policy working collaboratively with Operations, Internal Audit and North American Accounting Center to ensure compliance with IFRS and WK Accounting Manual
• Assists in the identification and articulation of ELM opportunities and challenges in order to optimize business unit performance by continually reviewing and analyzing financial and operations data to model trends, identify relationships or spot opportunities; test hypotheses and alternatives to find the optimal solution; collaborating with other leaders to identify new business models, workflows, and assisting with building the business case for needed investments and strategic plans to deliver planned results.
