OVERVIEW

Your role demands a visionary leader with a strategic mindset, adept at analyzing market trends, and aligning product strategies with business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Market Insight

  • Collaborate closely with customers, Sales, and market SMEs to understand needs, validate assumptions, and identify content gaps and innovation opportunities.
  • Use customer feedback and market data to analyze pain points, prioritize initiatives, and drive impactful solutions.
  • Have experience creating business cases, including crafting the strategic vision, positioning, and roadmap for each product or solution.
  • Develop and build a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Wolters Kluwer’s goals, improves profitability, and enhances the value customers derive from Health Research expert solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor products to ensure differentiation and effective positioning.

Go-to-Market Execution & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Understand how customers use Health Research expert solutions and ensure new content enhances their value.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop go-to-market plans and sales enablement tools to ensure commercial success.
  • Work with Product Marketing on messaging, segmentation, customer-facing materials, retention, and sales campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce team to manage, track, and report on sales campaign performance.
  • Create and present strategic content to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and sales teams.

Revenue, Performance & Product Management

  • Be responsible for achieving revenue goals by supporting the Sales team and coordinating with partners as needed.
  • Monitor sales pipeline growth and movement, applying insights to improve go-to-market execution.
  • Monitor customer usage and collaborate cross-functionally to address any issues and drive engagement.
  • Define KPIs to measure content effectiveness; analyze data to assess performance, engagement, and ROI.
  • Regularly measure product success and recommend actions to drive profitability, revenue, and growth.
  • Work with Finance and Pricing to ensure products are scalable and profitable.
  • Make content product recommendations to leadership; incorporate feedback and work with Content Partnerships to secure licensing.

Sets long-term vision and strategy for a portfolio of medical content products

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in Product Management, Business Development, Product strategy, or strategic marketing for a B2B web-based information or software products and services company.
  • Experience in the health research market and a clear understanding with the way health research is conducted.
  • Successful track record in B2B Product management and commercial success
  • Experience with content products; familiarity with publishing

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in global healthcare, scientific, technical, and academic markets
  • Experience with Medical Practice markets preferred.
  • Understanding in the way that medical librarians make purchasing decisions.
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strategic and commercial thinker - must have excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Previous product or portfolio-based P&L responsibility with a track record of strong commercial performance.
  • Proven strengths in strategic planning, execution, prioritization, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Ability to adjust, respond to, and manage a changing list of priorities and market needs to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills
  • Creative thinking and the ability to think strategically.

TRAVEL: 5-10% for team meetings, customer visits, and conference attendance

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $145,500 - $203,900
