The Role - Head of Business Development

InsideTracker seeks a highly motivated, player-coach to lead our business development team. This role requires a strong business development and sales background with proven experience in identifying and closing opportunities with new and existing partners.

This person will be responsible for selling InsideTracker’s product to groups and enterprises and continuing to expand our already existing and growing B2B and B2B2C pipeline of opportunities and contracts. This is a great opportunity for a leader looking to join a high-growth startup while combining their unique skill sets of new business/sales with marketing strategy/execution and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a pipeline of partners that create opportunities for co-marketing, distribution & revenue generation
  • Lead relationship management, engagement, and communication strategies with existing and new partners
  • Oversee the strategy and execution of cross-channel go-to-market campaigns
  • Establish repeatable, data-driven practices
  • Measure, analyze results, and optimize performance according to KPIs
  • Be a cross-functional leader, collaborating closely with sales, performance marketing, and product to drive high-impact results
  • Provide ongoing consultative support to partners on marketing, content, strategy, and how to meet our mutual goals/objectives for the partnerships
  • Research emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs
  • Executive team member responsible for managing a quota-carrying sales team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field
  • 8-10 years of experience and success in strategically growing and maintaining complex, high-value managed accounts through a consultative approach
  • Experience negotiating B2B partnerships
  • A constant curiosity for learning about the product, human performance, nutrition, the health optimization landscape, and market trends
  • A business-oriented, data-driven, and innovative mindset
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collect stakeholder feedback, deeply understand their pain points, and meet them on their level to drive solutions
