Our global Large Molecule Research (LMR) platform focuses on antibodies, nanobodies and synthorins as therapeutic modalities to partner closely with other research platforms and Sanofi’s therapeutic areas (Immunology, Oncology, Rare Disease and Neurology) in the discovery and ultimate delivery of new candidate molecules into our pipeline.
Responsibilities in this co-op may include:
Express and purify recombinant antibodies, antigens, and fusion proteins from mammalian expression systems
Perform analytics to ensure the purity, quality, and function of recombinant proteins
Initiate, design, and perform innovative technology development experiments
Present data to department and project teams
Ensure thorough and compliant experimental data capture to enable training of ML/AI algorithms
Interface with digital teams to automate data management bottlenecks

About You
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related STEM field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Passion for scientific rigor with a curiosity and drive to explore new scientific questions
Ability to troubleshoot technical and scientific problems, analyze and interpret experimental data and suggest next steps
Excellent organizational and time management skills are required
Experience with mammalian cell culture including sterile technique and use of biosafety cabinet (BSC)
Experience with mammalian expression systems (CHO, HEK cells) and general transfection techniques
Experience with general biologics analytical characterization and techniques
Experience or knowledge of affinity-based and/or conventional chromatographic separation systems and techniques (Akta protein purification systems and Unicorn software)

The salary range for this position is $27-$45 hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
