Main responsibilities:

  • Perform experiments and studies in support of rare disease research projects and company drug discovery goals.

  • Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments in both in vivo and in vitro settings.

  • Support the development of new methodologies and approaches as needed.

  • Develop and maintain cell culture systems, including iPSC-derived cultures, to model rare diseases and enable drug screening and mechanism of action studies.

  • Conduct animal studies using various injections routes (IV, SC, IP), necropsies, and downstream tissue processing.

  • Perform cell culture techniques, qPCR, ELISA, and plate-based assays (MSD/SIMOA).

  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental results to team members and project stakeholders.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records following scientific rigor standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive team environment.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field plus minimum 4 years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting OR Master's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field plus minimum 1 year of relevant research experience.

  • Strong in vivo technical expertise including animal handling, various routes of administration (IV, SC, IP) and necropsy.

  • Experience with various in vitro methods (i.e. qPCR, ELISA, and plate-based assays (MSD/SIMOA)).

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and good laboratory practices.

Preferred:

  • Strongly recommended: Proficiency in cell culture techniques, including iPSC culture systems.

  • Experience with in vivo models of neuromuscular disorders and functional readouts relevant to skeletal and cardiac muscle function.

  • Experience with binding assays for complex biologics (SPR, BLI/Octet)

  • Experience with high-throughput screening and assay development

  • Experience integrating human biology datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics) into experimental workflows

  • Experience with intracranial stereotaxic surgeries

  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis software

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology research settings

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.

  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet project deadlines

The salary range for this position is:

$75.000,00 - $108.333,33
