The Strategy and Operations Office is growing to accelerate transformational initiatives and drive operational excellence across SPC NA.
We are seeking a Director, Business Performance & Commercial Operations to serve as the performance engine of the SPC NA Strategy & Operations Office. This role builds the data, metrics, and insights that drive decisions — translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes and owning the "what are we measuring and how are we performing" story. The Director partners closely with the governance and operations function to integrate performance inputs into leadership cadence and decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:
Performance Measurement & Analytics Infrastructure
Build and maintain OKRs, KPIs, and tracking infrastructure that translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes
Deliver data-driven analytics and insights across SPC NA to support decision-making at all levels
Produce Now/Next/Risks inputs for leadership consumption (dashboard publication owned by governance function)
Track strategic and commercial initiative progress — what are we delivering against the plan?
Partner with commercial, marketing, medical affairs, and digital/AI teams on analytics needs
Quarterly Business Reviews & Performance Reporting
Develop QBR content including performance analysis, insights, and recommendations (logistics and facilitation owned by governance function)
Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
Maintain visibility into portfolio performance and strategic initiative progress
Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to leadership
Commercial Operations & Planning Support
Support brand planning processes, including budget development and resource allocation recommendations
Partner with Finance and commercial teams on planning cycles and investment decisions
Provide analytical support for strategic and commercial initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve data-driven decision-making across the organization
About You
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
8+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations, business analytics, or management consulting with demonstrated responsibility for financial performance management — including P&L oversight, budget development, ROI analysis, and resource allocation decisions
Proven track record building and managing performance frameworks that drive business decisions — OKRs, KPIs, dashboards, and metrics systems that translate strategy into measurable outcomes
Experience with commercial planning cycles — brand planning, budget processes, investment prioritization, and cross-functional planning in complex, matrixed environments
Management consulting background is a strong plus — particularly experience with top-tier firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte) and healthcare/life sciences engagements
Advanced analytical and executive communication skills — ability to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership
Healthcare or life sciences industry experience preferred — familiarity with pharmaceutical commercial models, specialty care markets, or regulated environments
Digital transformation exposure valued — experience with AI/ML applications, data strategy initiatives, or technology-enabled business transformation

Collaborative and cross-functional by nature
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Strong executive communication and storytelling with data
Travel & Work Environment:
Approximately 10–15% domestic travel, with increased frequency during major planning cycles and business reviews
This position may require extended periods at a computer workstation

The salary range for this position is:
$161,250.00 - $232,916.66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
