The Head of Marketing, Neuromuscular, US Neurology will be founding US commercial leader for riliprubart, a late-stage (Phase 3) neurology asset in chronic immune demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) and potentially other indications, with anticipated launch in Q4 2028.

This individual will be the first US dedicated commercial hire for the asset and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future US brand from the ground up.

This role is accountable for building a deep understanding of the US market, defining the US value story, and designing the end-to-end go-to-market strategy in close partnership with the Global Brand Team and cross-functional US stakeholders. The US Brand & Launch Lead will operate as a strategic architect and integrator, laying the commercial foundation that will enable a successful launch and long-term brand growth.

This position requires comfort with ambiguity, strong strategic judgment, and the ability to lead without formal authority in a highly matrixed, pre-launch environment.

Main Responsibilities

US Market & Customer Insight Leadership

  • Serve as the primary owner of US market understanding for the asset, including patient journey, diagnosis and referral dynamics, treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, and unmet need.

  • Translate clinical data and emerging evidence into US-relevant value narratives for HCPs, patients, and payers.

  • Lead US-focused market research, insight generation, and forecasting efforts to inform strategic decision-making.

US Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch Preparation

  • Design the US go-to-market strategy from first principles, including positioning, segmentation, targeting hypotheses, and launch sequencing.

  • Partner closely with Market Access to inform early pricing, access, and reimbursement scenarios appropriate for the US healthcare system.

  • Define launch readiness requirements across marketing, medical, access, sales, patient services, and operations, ensuring alignment and integration, and driving execution to ensure Launch readiness

  • Lead development of the US Brand Plan and US Launch Plan in alignment with global strategy while advocating for US-specific needs and trade-offs.

Global Partnership & Strategic Influence

  • Act as the US commercial representative into the Global Brand Team, contributing meaningfully to global positioning, product profile development, and launch strategy.

  • Provide strong US input into global decision-making, challenging assumptions and ensuring US market realities are reflected.

  • Collaborate closely with Global, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, and Policy partners while maintaining a clear US commercial perspective.

Pre-Launch Market Shaping

  • Lead US pre-launch market shaping activities in partnership with Medical, Patient Advocacy, and Policy, ensuring appropriate readiness while remaining compliant.

  • Support development of US-relevant messaging frameworks, educational strategies, and disease awareness initiatives.

  • Build relationships with key external stakeholders (thought leaders, advocacy organizations) in coordination with Medical Affairs.

Organizational Build & Future Readiness

  • Operate initially as a hands-on leader, while designing the future US brand organization and capabilities needed for launch.

  • Contribute to business cases for future investment, resourcing, and organizational scale-up.

  • Be viewed as the natural owner of the brand at launch, with the potential to assume broader leadership responsibility post-launch.

About You

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, scientific or clinical degree) preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in US commercial roles within biopharma, with significant marketing and launch experience.

  • Demonstrated success in pre-launch strategy development and/or leading major product launches in the US.

  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare environment, including payer dynamics, access considerations, and specialty care commercialization.

  • Proven ability to lead in highly ambiguous, matrixed environments, influencing without direct authority.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical capability, and ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable plans.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with executive presence and credibility.

  • Patient-centric mindset with a strong sense of integrity and accountability.

Preferred Experience

  • Neurology, Rare Disease or Specialty care experience.

  • Experience serving as an early or founding commercial leader for a pipeline or pre-launch asset.

  • Prior exposure to global-local operating models and partnership with global brand teams.

  • Track record of building strategies that scale from pre-launch through commercialization.

The salary range for this position is:

$206,250.00 - $297,916.66
