The Scrum Master at Sanofi plays a crucial role in driving agile transformation and excellence across the organization. This position is responsible for coaching teams on agile methodologies, facilitating agile ceremonies, driving product roadmaps, releasing values early & often, scaling agile across multiple cross functional teams, removing impediments and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will serve as a change agent, helping teams deliver value faster while maintaining high quality standards in our mission to improve patients' lives through innovative healthcare solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation

· Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

· Guide teams through release planning, backlog refinement, and other scaled agile events

· Ensure ceremonies are effective, time-boxed, and achieve their intended outcomes

· Create a safe environment for open communication and collaboration

Coaching & Mentoring

· Coach teams and individuals on agile principles, values, and practices

· Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and Agile Practitioners

· Provide guidance on implementing agile frameworks and adapting them to team needs

· Support teams in their journey toward self-organization and high performance

· Coach product owners on backlog refinements, prioritization & value driven delivery

· Provide Agile coaching to stakeholders and leaders to improve adoption and maturity

Impediment Removal

· Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder team productivity

· Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to address systemic blockers

· Track and communication impediment resolution progress to relevant stakeholders

· Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address complex challenges

Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement

· Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to improve flow, predictability, and quality

· Drive data driven improvement using Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput, burndown/up, etc.)-informed improvement using Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput, burn-down/up, etc.)

· Analyze team metrics to identify improvement opportunities

· Lead retrospectives that result in actionable improvement plans

· Foster a culture of experimentation and learning

Stakeholder Management

· Build strong relationships with product owners, business stakeholders, and leadership

· Communicate team progress, risks, and achievements effectively

· Manage expectations and negotiate priorities when necessary

· Advocate for agile principles at all organizational levels

· Scaling Agile

· Support the implementation of scaled agile frameworks (Scum of Scrum, LeSS, etc.)

· Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams

· Participating in program-level ceremonies and planning

· Contribute to the organization's agile community of practice

About You

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field

· 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer (RTE), Agile Coach, or similar role

· 5+ years of experience working with multiple agile teams simultaneously and leading agile transformation across large cross functional teams

· 5+ years of experience working in Biotech & pharmaceutical industry especially in Laboratory space

· Current certification in at least one of the following: CSM, PSM, SAFe SPC, ICP-ACC

· Strong understanding of software development, lifecycle and delivery processes

· Experience with agile at scale in complex enterprise environments

· Demonstrated leadership experience in driving agile transformation

Preferred Skills

· Experience with agile management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Confluence etc.)

· Proficiency in multiple agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, LeSS)

· Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries

· Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles

· Experience with distributed/remote team facilitation

· Additional certifications such as PMI-ACP, ICP-ATF, CTC, etc

· Experience in delivering large scale Laboratory informatics solutions i.e. ELN (Electronic notebook), LIMS (Laboratory Information Management systems), SDMS (Scientific data management systems)

· Expertise in managing & delivering Pharma GxP products and services

· Master's degree preferred in relevant discipline

The salary range for this position is:

$133,500.00 - $192,833.33
