The Director, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement, Global Specialty Care, is responsible for developing and leading internal communications strategy in close partnership with Sanofi’s Global Communications team. This role reports to the Head of Executive, Digital, and Internal Communications, Global SPC.

Main Responsibilities
Internal
Develop, own, and execute comprehensive internal communications strategies, campaigns, and resources to advance the Sanofi/Specialty Care narrative, positively influence employee perception and engagement, and drive senior leader communication effectiveness within Specialty Care.
Design and implement the SPC senior leader communication and engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and fostering a culture of transparent, timely, and impactful leadership communication.
Work closely with Specialty Care product communications to plan for and prioritize relevant news for GBU-wide visibility, ensuring messaging is aligned to the Sanofi strategy, best practices, and effectively communicated through senior leadership channels.
Implement a standardized internal communications model in preparation for 40+ potential launches over the next five years, incorporating senior leader involvement to amplify key messages and drive organizational readiness.
Lead the creation and distribution of content across various channels, including town halls, Viva Engage, intranet, and digital platforms, with a focus on leveraging senior leaders as key communicators and ambassadors for Specialty Care initiatives.
Partner with Global Corporate Communications to cascade One Sanofi content and inform GBU updates, while elevating Specialty Care content and therapeutic area milestones to Corporate for Sanofi-wide pull through. Ensure senior leaders are equipped with consistent messaging to reinforce corporate priorities within the Specialty Care context.
Drive continuous engagement and communication tactics through senior leadership in Specialty Care, including developing executive communication plans, crafting leadership messages, and coaching senior leaders on effective communication strategies.
Establish and maintain a robust feedback loop between employees and senior leadership, facilitating two-way communication and ensuring that employee voice is incorporated into strategic decision-making processes.
Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of internal communications and senior leader engagement initiatives, regularly reporting on progress and recommending improvements to enhance overall communication impact.
About You
The Director, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement is a strategic, motivated, and talented communications leader, with an enterprise mindset and ability to influence without authority.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, master’s degree preferred in communications, journalism, or related field
10+ years of progressive communications experience with significant leadership responsibility
Demonstrated success leading internal communications for a global organization, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals
Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate business strategy into communications approaches
Outstanding leadership presence with ability to influence and advise C-suite executives
Proven track record managing complex communications challenges and crisis situations
Strong understanding of digital communications and evolving media landscape
Experience leading and developing high-performing global teams
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in a complex, global matrix organization
Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, regulatory environment, and stakeholder landscape

The salary range for this position is:
$137,250.00 - $198,250.00All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
