Our team is Building the Future of AAV CLD: Automation, Data Infrastructure and Predictive Insights. In the co-op/internship, you will get the opportunity to integrate automation systems for CLD workflows, standardize data capture, optimize protocols, implement traceable tracking for GMP-ready cell lines.

The Cell Line and Vector Development team within Sanofi's Genomic Medicine Unit is responsible for developing and optimizing cell lines and viral vectors for gene therapy applications. Our team works with cutting-edge technologies to support the development of advanced medicinal therapy products (ATMPs) including viral vectors, plasmids, and genetically modified cells.

We are seeking a motivated co-op to join our Cell Line and Vector Development team with a focus on automation. The successful candidate will assist in implementing and optimizing automated processes for cell line development and vector production, contributing to our mission of developing innovative gene therapy solutions.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a masters degree or PhD in Engineering, health sciences, or other STEM related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027

  • Basic understanding of cell culture techniques and molecular biology

  • Familiarity with laboratory automation concepts

  • Experience with data analysis software (for example: Graphpad Prism, JMP, FLowjo, etc.)

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with molecular biology, mammalian cell culture/aseptic techniques preferred.

  • Familiarity with automated liquid handling systems

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation abilities

  • Knowledge of gene therapy viral vectors

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Ability to use basic Microsoft office software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
