The non-clinical bioanalysis team within the Translational Medicine Unit (TMU) LabSci department at Sanofi is searching for a summer intern to join their team. This team develops bioanalytical assays to understand pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) and interacts with allied functions for first-in-human (FIH) dose predictions.

This internship is designed to introduce drug discovery and development to a motivated university student and prepare them for a career in pharmaceutical industry/healthcare sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • With supervision design and develop ligand binding assays (LBA) for biologics with a designated program

  • Gain understanding of fundamentals of assay development for biologics

  • Build calibration curves for the quantitation of biologics using LBA

  • Exposure to appropriate software for bioanalytical data regression

  • Interpretation of the data generated

  • Interact with allied functions such as Quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics to understand the context of non-clinical studies and their further application in the modeling for FIH dose predictions.

  • Understand drug discovery and development through intern program presentations and brief rotations in allied functions.

  • Present the project summary to TMU department.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences or related health sciences at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the internship (8-12 weeks).

  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant course load in biological sciences, statistics, and relevant biotechnology research topics.

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

  • Experience working in a laboratory setting and familiar with basic lab techniques

  • Good written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

  • Prior exposure to teamwork and multidisciplinary scientific teams

  • Familiar with analytical and reporting software such as EXCEL, GraphPad Prism, etc.
