The Summer Intern, US Advanced Analytics will be responsible for leveraging data science expertise in machine learning, statistics, and optimization. This person will join the US Advanced Analytics team within the overarching US Go to Market Capabilities (GTMC) Insights and Analytics team, which serves as strategic partner to the US commercial teams (Executive Leadership, Marketing, Sales, and Patient Support Services). Key responsibilities of this internship will include developing a proof-of-concept model for a prioritized business use case. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for creating innovative data visualizations and interpreting model outputs to communicate findings to leadership to drive business decisions at the conclusion of the summer internship.
This position will report to the Senior Director, US Advanced Analytics and will be based in either Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ.

Main Responsibilities:
People:
Build effective relationship with stakeholders (Commercial and Commercial Brand + Advanced Analytics teams), work collaboratively to prioritize work and deliver on time-sensitive requests.
Interact/partner with Digital Accelerator, Digital Data Science, Data Management, Market Research, Marketing, Strategy, Finance and BD groups.
Collaborate with extended US Advanced Analytics team
Performance:
Develop model using key business insights from various market to support commercial excellence.
Lead marketing and sales-related problem-solving activities, leveraging AI/ML techniques. Projects may include marketing mix modeling, ROI analysis, next best action, customer segmentation, patient prediction, and drivers analyses.
Prepare high-quality, accurate analysis using cutting-edge analytical methods.
Process:
Strategic thinking – frame the key marketing and sales issues to guide model development and analysis.
Communication – present model results and implications to commercial stakeholders.
Results Orientation - Ability to work cross-functionally, gather requirements, analyze data, and generate insights and reports that can be used by the business.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate or masters’ degree in applied quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/coursework in predictive modelling and analytics
Strong analytical acumen and quantitative skills with a demonstrated ability to translate information and data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
High proficiency with core data science languages (Python, R, Scala), Snowflake, and familiarity with different data-base systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
Experience with the following modelling areas: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, federated learning, time series forecasting, Bayesian statistics, optimization
High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Self-starter, proactive in nature, and actively participates.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.
