The role of the Operational Excellence (OpEx) team is to drive industrial performance to achieve the site’s strategy and ambition. The OpEx team brings a high level of expertise and leadership in Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) methodology, transformation and change management. OpEx teams collaborate with all functions at the site, with Global SMS and actively contribute to the Sanofi SMS network.
This role serves as the site’s SMS Program Manager and champion. As an SMS Leader, the person must achieve SMS Intermediate level certification, at a minimum; SMS advanced is preferred. This role manages the portfolio of performance initiatives, ensuring their deployment is aligned to Sanofi standards and sustained impact is achieved. This role ensures improvement initiatives are properly analyzed and forecast in alignment with Sanofi standards and expectations. This role supports execution of performance initiatives and deployment of SMS operating standards. This role manages the SMS Upskilling and GPS3 programs, ensuring effective training and coaching to enable site staff to achieve greater impact. This role leads problem solving sessions using root-case-analysis methodology to determine corrective actions.

Main Responsibilities:
Driving performance & transformation initiatives (e.g., SMS 2.0 deployment,
boosters, Factory 4.0 solutions, etc.)
Ensuring impact & sustainability
Contributing to the development of operating standards in close partnership with dedicated ecosystem leaders and supporting M&S network (e.g. Maturity
Assessment execution, SMS Trainer…)
Technical & Behavioral Skills:
Knowledge of SMS operating standards (certification) & main Operational Excellence techniques (e.g., GPS3, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, CI, etc.)
Experience in transformation and change management
Experience in training and coaching
Understanding of finance P&L monitoring, BOI, GM, COGs, cash flow, etc.
Good understanding of data management & IA digital products embedded into the SMS operating standards (e.g. eOEE, FaCT, iObeya, …)
Ability to manage cross-departmental, cross-domain projects
Communication skills (both verbal and written) with technical and operational fluency
Good listening and interpersonal skills (good relationship with Department Leaders)
Capacity to anticipate problems and organize proactive countermeasures
About You
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operational Excellence, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science or similar relevant disciplines.
7+ years of experience in a Pharma/Bio setting, preferably in a GMP manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Successful, multi-year track-record of managing complex, cross-functional operational excellence / lean initiatives or transformations
Technical background (eg: manufacturing, engineering, data science, finance, operational excellence)
Special Working Conditions
Up to 10% international travel
Ability to gown and enter clean room spaces.

The salary range for this position is:
$125,250.00 - $208,750.00All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
