The Immunology and Inflammation Research Therapeutic Area in Sanofi is seeking a talented and motivated co-op student to join our checkpoint cluster in Jan 2026. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to learn about the R & D lab activities in the pharmaceutical industry. They will learn about the immune regulatory pathways and pathophysiology of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and gain hands-on experience on immunology techniques. The candidate will work with team members in novel assay development and test our candidate molecules in immunoassays. The ideal candidate is expected to have experience in immunology and cell and molecular biology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammalian cell culture and experiments following existing SOPs.

  • Perform ELISA development and testing.

  • Perform immunoprecipitation and Western blot development.

  • Perform cell line-based screening assays.

  • Perform Flow cytometry.

  • Perform data analysis, and related document writing with a critical look at the relevance of the results.

  • Compliant to Sanofi Quality standards and HSE policy. Participate in continuous improvement of laboratory safety and quality compliance.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, pr related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2028.

  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of immunology principles.

  • Experience with standard laboratory techniques, including cell culture, flow cytometry and ELISA.
