We are seeking a skilled research specialist to join our team as a contractor, providing expertise in in vitro and in vivo techniques with a focus on neuroimmunology and neurodegeneration. This position will support ongoing research efforts, including experiments that require proficiency in cell culture, tissue processing, and various laboratory assays.
Sanofi Rare and Neurological Disease (RND) research co-op positions are available for college or graduate students majoring in life science-related disciplines such as biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, pharmacology etc. The co-op will have the opportunity to directly work with the scientists on well-defined research projects in RND areas during the program period, to have a first-hand exposure to understanding disease mechanisms and drug discovery process.
They will participate in experiment design and planning with the group, execute a range of laboratory experiments such as biochemical, molecular, or cellular biology experiments using various techniques and tools, will collect, analyze and visualize experiment data, and will interpretate and discuss the results with the group.

Main Responsibilities:
Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to support neuroimmunology and neurodegeneration research initiatives.
Perform cell culture, biochemical assays, and other cellular and molecular biology techniques.
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, providing insights to the research team.
Maintain meticulous lab records and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols.
About You
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Neuroscience, Immunology, Biology, or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with in vitro and in vivo models, particularly in neuroimmunology and glial cell biology.
Proficiency with cell culture.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Hands-on experience with in vivo models, particularly in neuroimmunology and glial cell biology.
Experience with neuroinflammatory models or disease-related studies.
Knowledge of advanced microscopy techniques and image analysis.
Demonstrated success in a research or lab-based setting.
