Your role:
- Lead end-to-end financial planning and forecasting for global transportation, including annual operating plans, staffing projections, and statistical modeling aligned to operational assumptions. Partner closely with business leaders to deliver bottoms‑up forecasts and top‑down analyses that support informed leadership decisions.
- Own monthly close and performance reporting for transportation, ensuring accurate accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Translate financial results into clear insights and narratives to support monthly business reviews and executive discussions.
- Develop and maintain transportation cost analytics and financial models, covering insourced and third‑party logistics cost structures. Analyze key cost drivers and validate business cases by challenging assumptions and assessing return on investment.
- Oversee freight pay, carrier reconciliation, and financial controls to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payments. Investigate discrepancies, resolve invoice issues, and confirm contractual rate and surcharge accuracy with audit and payment partners.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to logistics and distribution teams by ensuring data integrity, process excellence, and a single source of truth across systems. Provide ongoing financial guidance, support cost optimization initiatives, and deliver ad hoc analysis for strategic and operational decisions.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 3+ years of experience in finance or financial planning and analysis. Knowledge of supply chain, logistics or distribution finance – a plus.
- Your skills include:
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Knowledge of month-end close processes and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- You have a bachelor's or master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or similar discipline.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and have the ability to simplify data to present across different audiences.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in PA is $87,000 to $139,000.
The pay range for this position in MA is $98,000 to $155,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
