Software Development Engineer – Remote Patient Monitoring (Cambridge, MA)
In this role, you will design and develop clinical-quality software that powers a remote patient monitoring platform, helping ensure reliable, high-performing solutions that support better patient outcomes.
Your role:
Design, implement, and document high-quality software for a remote patient monitoring solution, contributing to reliable and scalable clinical systems used in healthcare environments.
Build full-stack software components and utilities while integrating third-party libraries and services into an existing Windows-based client-server architecture.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Quality Assurance Engineers, and fellow developers in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features that meet user and product requirements.
Analyze and optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and improving system reliability through monitoring, logging, and performance enhancements.
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines while mentoring teammates and promoting strong software development standards and practices.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience developing software solutions as an individual contributor, including experience building and maintaining production systems.
Your skills include strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (such as .NET Core, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio), along with experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and self-published NuGet packages.
You have experience troubleshooting issues in production environments, implementing testing strategies such as unit testing, integration testing, behavior-driven development, or test-driven development, and contributing to Agile or Scrum-based teams.
Your skills may also include (preferred) experience with T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, UI frameworks such as Windows Presentation Foundation, WinForms, Angular, or ASP.NET, web technologies including JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, and Cascading Style Sheets, or scripting with Python and command-line tools.
You have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, and you bring strong collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills when working with cross-functional teams.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in (MA) is $126,000 to $201,600
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
