The Product Management Leader is responsible for directing strategic product planning and lifecycle management, aligning customer requirements with the overall portfolio strategy, driving market leadership and ensuring high customer satisfaction through effective integration of feedback and market trends. The role focuses on developing comprehensive portfolio strategies and roadmaps, integrating market insights to align with business strategies and drive P&L impact. The role ensures alignment with cross-category requirements and drives efficient go-to-market approaches, emphasizing Product Lifecycle Management practices and strategic alignment. The role creates actionable insights from market data to formulate robust product and professional plans, aligns with Innovation Roadmaps, and ensures successful NPI execution.
Your role:
- Leads the delivery of superior customer value by deeply understanding customer needs and commercial success criteria, and drives a comprehensive view of business performance, product releases, lifecycle management, and quality through a holistic platform approach.
- Spearheads multiple product management areas of the platform, approves the product and solution roadmap, and leads the entire platform lifecycle to ensure alignment with strategic goals and successful execution throughout its development and deployment.
- Owns the development and execution of the claims roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize validated claims based on market trends and regulatory requirements, while continuously optimizing the strategy through analysis of competitor activity, customer insights, and compliance needs.
- Builds and manages relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to align their insights and advocacy with product strategy, driving engagement through advisory boards and educational initiatives to enhance product credibility, market influence, and thought leadership while measuring impact on market adoption and positioning.
- Develops comprehensive portfolio strategies and product/software/lifecycle and professional (PLP) roadmaps, oversees the entire product lifecycle, including obsolescence management, phase-in, and phase-out processes, ensures market readiness for the product category, and integrates market insights and anticipating trends.
- Is accountable for ensuring product and portfolio business case development & realization, and is accountable for overseeing commercial, IB, and technical simplicity across the portfolio.
- Leads the optimization of product costs and margins for the product category by analyzing cost structures, implementing cost-saving strategies, and enhancing profitability through effective pricing and cost management.
- Leads the Product Managers team by driving efficient go-to-market strategies and overseeing succession planning and talent management, including employee selection, performance and compensation management, and career development, all in alignment with the organization’s operational goals.
- Creates actionable insights from market information to formulate robust product/software/lifecycle and professional plans with a strategic horizon and aligning with Innovation Roadmap and business strategies.
- Champions End-to-End (E2E) success of New Product Introductions (NPI) according to Value Proposition Canvas (VPC) and Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) guidelines throughout the product adoption and until end-of-life decision and implementation, ensuring market readiness and achieving commercial success.
- Translates business strategy into a cohesive portfolio strategy, driving growth, innovation, and value creation aligned with the strategic plan of record and Annual Operating Plan targets.
- Oversees regulatory compliance and quality assurance, and enhances business portfolio performance across categories, managing X-category Product Introduction-Product Optimization (PIPO) roadmaps, phase-in/phase-out processes, and driving overall portfolio productivity and effectiveness.
- Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements to maintain operational efficiency and effectiveness for a function/region/business.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management or equivalent.
- 11+ years of experience in areas such as Product Management, Product marketing, Project Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- Strategic execution – helping products/businesses achieve strategic objectives.
- Market-focused / building strategic relationships with key executive sponsors
- Ability to work collaboratively across a matrixed environment, working relationships with various business units
- Experienced in characterizing value propositions and developing evidence to support claims
- Inspiring and able to motivate a large, diverse global core team

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $220,000 to $353,000.00
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
