As a Philips Capital Risk & Portfolio Manager, you’ll play a senior role in close cooperation with the Philips Capital Market organization, taking ownership of credit responsibilities for on-balance financing transactions and serving as the second pair of eyes for credit approvals across North America and Latin America. This high-impact role requires strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, as you’ll engage directly with internal stakeholders and external partners across regions to support strategic deal-making and long-term customer partnerships.
Your role:
Lead credit risk assessments and deal structuring for on-balance and warehoused financing transactions, ensuring alignment with Philips’ risk-return criteria. Collaborate with finance, legal, and commercial teams to guide due diligence, negotiate terms, and support strategic deal execution across North and Latin America.
Manage the on-book portfolio and customer engagement, including credit applications, financial and contractual risk analysis, delinquency monitoring, and direct interaction with customers during credit reviews, overdue situations, and potential restructurings.
Support balance sheet offloading strategies, including negotiating sell-down structures with financiers and customers, engaging with bank credit departments, and contributing to automation and data analytics initiatives to enhance risk monitoring and reporting processes.
You are the right fit if:

Your skills include expertise in credit risk management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and financial modeling, supported by strong data analysis and financial statement analysis. You offer sharp commercial acumen, effective stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of healthcare organizations, enabling strategic financial oversight and contract negotiation across complex environments. Additionally, you have experience in financial modelling (including NPV / IRR analysis for investments), basic statistical analysis and process standardization.
You have a Bachelor’s (required) / Master’s (preferred) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent. Certifications are a plus (i.e. CFA, FRM, etc.)
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You're a strong communicator with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, matrix environments. With a sharp analytical mindset and attention to detail, you bring expertise in financial analysis, credit risk, and complex deal structures like MES, PPPs, and SPVs. As a self-starter, you thrive in cross-cultural teams and are skilled in evaluating investments and financial models, particularly in the healthcare sector. Also, you are able to independently form opinions on complex matters and to defend your views in discussions, as well as balance this with an open mindset and willingness to listen and understand different opinions.
