Your role:
- Partnering with Development, Manufacturing, and External Suppliers to assess risks and define CTQs. Leading the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) cross-functional team to provide the required deliverables in a timely manner.
- Working with suppliers to ensure all necessary quality activities are rigorously addressed during initial product release and change via APQP (i.e. process mapping, process FMEA, process control plan, process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), GR&R, MSA, line release, ramp monitoring, etc).
- Ensuring the supplier test strategy aligns with quality goals. Supporting targeted and “at-risk” suppliers with new product introduction and facilitating from concept to launch, while communicating and offering solutions for any potential risks identified.
- Focusing on quality issue resolution via an 8-D based Supplier Corrective Action request process. Utilizing structured quality approaches to resolve quality concerns in order to guarantee effective and efficient root cause investigation as well as corrective/preventive measures that guarantee no recurrence.
- Executing supplier audits, CAPA’s and monitoring supplier metrics. Proactively collaborating with suppliers to identify and execute data driven continuous improvement projects.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Your skills include familiarity with APQP and experience with aspects of supplier quality management, i.e. quality concepts/tools/methods (e.g. FMEA, DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ, MSA, GRR, 8D, etc.), quality issue resolution (supplier corrective action request) and quality monitoring measures (use of statistical process control methodologies (CPk/PPk and data analysis is essential). Project management experience – a plus.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re a strong communicator, both written and verbal.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $76,000 to $105,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
