Reimbursement and Health Policy Specialist
You will be responsible for reimbursement monitoring and analysis related to coding, coverage, payment and overall market access trends for our Philips portfolio. You will provide analysis to internal stakeholders about reimbursement challenges and opportunities and work on potential reimbursement pathways to secure or optimize reimbursement and will assist in conducting reimbursement research globally. Your role will also contribute to the development of tools and programs to educate internal stakeholders on market access and reimbursement considerations.
Your role:
- Supports the analysis of reimbursement trends and reviews/analyzes regulations including CPT/HCPCS coding changes, payment amounts, fees schedules, coverage status, and Medicare rules and legislation, impacting Philips products and solutions. This will include providing research for internal audiences on evolving global reimbursement trends and implications for our Philips portfolio.
- Independently develops reimbursement collateral and training materials on reimbursement topics and trends to support successful market access education. Analyzes secondary data for US payers related to reimbursement changes and trends and organizes data from international market as required.
- Conduct reimbursement research to guide strategic decision-making and develops and manages the reimbursement database that allows tracking of important reimbursement trends as well updating and presenting to business units changes in Medicare payment or coverage in proposed and final payment rules and review and analyze CMS claims, cost, and payment data.
- Participate and monitor results of CMS meetings and advisory panels.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 3+ years’ experience working with a medical device company or healthcare entity with a reimbursement focus and/or other financial areas or master’s degree in health or policy-related field.
- Your skills include understanding of health care systems; strong analytical and data management skills including advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and ACCESS database programs; and other Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Forms, Teams, and OneDrive.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree, required and a concentration in health policy or business is preferred.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re a strong communicator with the ability to synthesize complex reimbursement and market access data. You also should have the ability to work independently conducting and managing projects with minimal guidance. This may include 10% travel as needed.
