Principal Ultrasound Transducer Architect (Cambridge, MA)
The Principal Ultrasound Transducer Architect will lead technical planning, transducer innovation roadmap, and technical risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
Lead advanced development and product development of intracardiac echo transducer technologies to improve image guided therapy delivery in the structural heart disease space.
Direct, design, prototype, and evaluate intracardiac echo transducer design and fabrication methods. You will work closely with mechanical, acoustic, and process engineers to architect and implement advanced product concepts.
Leadership of new product development activities, including design requirements and specifications, test method development, verification, and related documentation that complies with medical device regulations and standards.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
You’ve acquired 15+ years of engineering experience in the design and commercialization of medical ultrasound transducers including as an R&D contributor on multiple products from concept stage through commercialization stage; experience with intracardiac echo cardiac devices preferred.
Your skills include expertise and knowledge of ultrasound imaging technology, including ultrasound systems, transducer design, transducer manufacturing processes, wave propagation, beamforming, antenna design/modeling, and signal and image processing.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree (MS, PhD) is preferred.
You have the ability to make things happen by encouraging and channeling the contributions of others, recognizing, and addressing important issues in a timely manner, and acting as an agent for change and continual improvement when required to achieve results.
You have experience working with cross functional teams, including senior leadership, in a global organization with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
