Sales Commissions Analyst

In this role, you have the opportunity to help design, administer and drive key processes, tools and data sets to facilitate sales planning decision making, commissioning setup and execution, as well as performance reporting, commissions analysis, and strategic planning activities specific to compensation plans and the integration of new initiatives into key reporting processes or compensation plans across multiple Sales organizations.

Additionally, you will also play a key role in driving the ongoing sales information management to enable commissioning and identify opportunities to optimize existing processes to enhance the timeliness and quality of commission’s execution. You will be a key member of the Sales Planning & Compensation team.

Your role:

Compensation Payment Processing

  • Thoroughly understand compensation plans to ensure payments are accurate and in compliance

  • Interface with sales management, sales operations, data providers and Customer Fulfillment Center team to review and analyze data to ensure sales reps are accurately credited for their sales transactions

  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly sales compensation reconciliations, using both Excel and compensation tool

Compensation Auditing and Issue Resolution

  • Partner with key stakeholders in cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts in researching, addressing and resolving compensation disputes, and apply new processes to avoid further discrepancies

  • Responsible for issue escalations and response to sales teams on inquiries as requested, ensuring issue and error resolution

  • Support audit deliverables related to compensation payouts and provide assistance related to Sarbanes-Oxley testing of sales compensation processes

  • Correspond with VP's, Directors, Managers and Payees regarding payments and administration of the governing plans

Compensation Process and Tools Management/Continuous Improvement

  • Support the overall sales compensation process, which includes but is not limited to working with consulting services team in configuring plans in compensation system, maintaining the compensation database to ensure that all data required (i.e. Target Incentive, Salary, Quotas, Revenue, crediting rules…) for all plan participants are up-to-date and accurate

  • Make recommendations for changes to compensation systems to ensure timely and accurate payments

  • Identify data sources and opportunities for additional automation and/or process streamlining

  • Actively participate in User Acceptance Testing activities associated with new plan implementations to ensure that systems are properly configured when adjustments are made to current compensation plans or new compensation plans are implemented

  • Bachelors’ degree (business related degree preferred)

  • 3+ years of Sales Analytics experience with the ability to perform complex analysis

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring a high level of collaboration and communication

  • Self-starter with a flexible work style, adaptable to internal and external customer requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively within a matrixed environment and engage at all organizational levels

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach to challenges

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines

  • Advanced user of Excel (v-lookups, pivots, etc.) with well-developed data analysis skills

  • Experience in using the following tools: Access, SAP, OneBI, Oscar, Power BI (or Tableau), Anaplan, etc.

Your team

You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Sales Compensation Operations, you will work with a team of other Sales Commission Analyst and interface with Sales Management, Sales Operations and the Customer Fulfillment Center team as well as other internal Philips customers.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $120,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
