Job Description

Technical Sales Representative-Rentals for industrial rental products (including but not limited to NDT/RVI/XRF) is responsible for developing a sales strategy for a defined territory implementing the sales plan promoting the companys products rentals and services with the goal of attaining a sales target. The Technical Sales Rep.-Rentals will be responsible for knowing the technical features of all rental products and be able to effectively discuss product specifications and application solutions with customers. In addition to technical knowledge the Technical Sales Rep.-Rentals will also be responsible for knowing how to perform and manage the selling process. Since this is an outside sales position the Technical Sales Rep.- Rentals will be expected to travel the majority of the time to meet customers for the purpose of selling rental products and promoting product sales.

Job Duties

Meeting the sales target for their territory on all products. Visit customers and prospective customers to discuss rental and product sales opportunities on a daily basis in the assigned territory. Following up on all leads provided by Olympus. Prospecting and cold calling to identify new business opportunities. Working closely with the Rentals Business Manager and others at Olympus to coordinate the overall selling efforts of the company. Completing working reviewing and improving a Sales Plan that includes an action plan for increasing sales to active customers and prospective customers scheduling full coverage of the territory maintaining a high level of in-field time and continually improving product knowledge. Responding to all customer phone calls and emails in a timely manner. Using the Olympus CRM package for completing daily tasks and management reporting. Timely completion of all periodic sales reports calendar events and opportunity management. Coordinating sales to key accounts within their territory and with the key account managers. Participation and presentation in local professional organizations. Operate within the Olympus America Inc. Code of Ethics policy. Learn and implement the Miller Heiman strategic selling methodology. Attend sales meetings. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required; Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a healthcare or business-related field.
  • Ideal candidates will be able to consider future relocation opportunities for growth into outside field sales in various markets across the country. Will be required to occasionally travel to Center Valley, PA for training/events and participate in annual NSM.

Preferred:

  • Proven sales experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Experience with remote technology (call centers, VOIP) preferred.
  • Must excel in managing customer relationships.
  • Must excel in lead generation / solution selling.
