Job Description
This position serves a key role within the Olympus Surgical Technologies America (OSTA) by providing strategic analytical support to management across the organization. This individual will be required to collaborate cross-functionally to help implement strategic plans devise financial modelling and profitability analysis perform budgeting / forecasting develop KPI's and metrics and ensure business performance management.
Job Duties
- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes and implement the necessary controls to effectively execute against the plan throughout the year; support broader company-wide planning by working closely with FP&A and Site Finance to develop administer and execute against the plan.
- Responsible for accurate timely and insightful month-end financial reporting variance analysis commentary and updating Executive presentations. Include risks opportunities and actionable course correction recommendations.
- Download data from financial systems and generate management reporting and financial packages on both a routine and ad hoc basis.
- Work with functional leaders to develop and design strategic goals / objectives and the related financial and operational budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with managers by providing analysis tools that will allow functional areas to evaluate and choose between tactical options define measures of success and the related target metrics and KPI's and provide reporting and analysis as to results.
- Partner with management in assigned areas to understand business subject matter and provide financial guidance and support in proactively managing risks and opportunities.
- Participate on cross-functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies and report results to senior management.
- Review R&D intercompany statements of work (SOW) and monitor R&D progress to accurately forecast amount and timing of expense reimbursement.
- Work with IT and Finance departments to design and implement data and reporting solutions to meet both short-term and long term needs of supported functions.
- Serve as financial lead on project teams perform financial modeling to facilitate investment decisions validate financial data and work to control and forecast project spend. Provide ad hoc analytical support as needed.
- All Other essential duties as directed.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA a plus) or equivalent work experience
- Must have advanced Excel, Power-Point and Word skills.
- Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties in an organized and efficient manner.
- Must have the ability to think critically and independently; produce high-quality work and adapt well to organizational changes.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting/finance or equivalent experience is preferred.
- ERP, Hyperion, Oracle and Power BI experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
