Role Overview

McKesson is seeking an Enrollment Specialist. The Enrollment Membership Services Specialist supports McKesson’s GPO membership operations for Onmark, Unity, PACT, and Pathway, including onboarding, offboarding, program participation, and manufacturer-facing submissions. This role requires judgment beyond transactional processing to evaluate customer structure, eligibility, system data, documentation quality, and stakeholder input to determine the appropriate enrollment path and protect downstream accuracy. Responsibilities include Salesforce triage, cross-functional coordination, audits, report-driven case creation, and tool/documentation maintenance. Success requires attention to detail, sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, working knowledge of Smartsheet, intermediate Excel skills, and the ability to translate complex GPO and healthcare membership requirements into reliable workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Member Management

  • Validate member records, required identifiers, documentation, and GPO/program eligibility for accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage enrollment and removals for GPOs and/or programs within SAP, Smartsheet, and other CRM tools.

  • Complete inactive identifier/member reviews, coordinate stakeholder updates, and support GPO removals as needed.

  • Evaluate quarterly which members newly qualify for program participation and work with stakeholders to enroll them in value-added programs.

  • Manage stakeholder updates for Address, Legal Name, and/or Hierarchy changes.

  • Resolve complex membership scenarios involving customer structure, eligibility, manufacturer requirements, and system data, escalating when business risk or policy interpretation requires review.

  • Interpret cross-system data and stakeholder input to identify discrepancies, determine corrective action, and protect enrollment accuracy.

Tool / Document Maintenance

  • Maintain Smartsheet, CRM tools, dashboards, reporting, and documentation to support accurate processing, automation, metrics, and stakeholder visibility.

  • Update documentation, tool guidance, and repeatable workflows as biopharma, program, and GPO requirements change.

  • Consider upstream and downstream impacts when updating tools or documentation to reduce rework, delays, and inconsistent expectations.

Daily Request Management

  • Participate in recurring stakeholder meetings related to membership, GPO operations, and process alignment.

  • Triage Salesforce requests, including assignment, prioritization, categorization, escalation, routing, and follow-up based on complexity, urgency, contractual impact, and customer risk.

  • Coordinate across Sales, Onboarding, Membership, Master Data, and manufacturer-facing teams to resolve incomplete, conflicting, or time-sensitive requests while minimizing customer disruption.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support additional Membership Services or organizational needs as assigned.

Education & Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Degree or related equivalent work experience is required.

Critical Skills

  • Excel Proficiency: Intermediate Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, IF, MATCH, and basic nested formulas.

  • CRM and Database Systems: Working knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, or similar systems to process requests and update records.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Clear communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and practices.

  • Prioritization and Follow-Through: Ability to manage competing requests, meet deadlines, and complete accurate work.

  • Customer and Stakeholder Focus: Commitment to quality service, accurate processing, and professional interactions.

Preferred Skills

  • Smartsheet and Workflow Management: Ability to maintain intake trackers, workflows, and operational reporting that support team visibility and process consistency.

  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools for dashboards and trend reporting.

  • GPO or Healthcare Membership Knowledge: Understanding of GPO operations, eligibility, manufacturer requirements, or contract-driven enrollment.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate incomplete information, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Adaptability and Initiative: Comfort navigating change, anticipating next steps, and improving workflows with limited supervision.

What Success Looks Like

  • Membership requests are processed accurately, timely, and with minimal rework or downstream disruption.

  • Stakeholders trust the quality, completeness, and follow-through of enrollment support.

  • Complex membership scenarios are evaluated thoughtfully, routed appropriately, and resolved using sound judgment.

  • Tools, documentation, and reporting remain current while improvement opportunities are identified and acted on.

Company Culture & Values

The GPO Membership Team values initiative, critical thinking, accountability, and ingenuity. This role is expected to be highly detail oriented while seeing the big picture, challenging manual current-state processes, surfacing operational risk, and helping build durable systems, controls, reporting, and relationships that enable holistic trending, root-cause analysis, and scalable problem solving.
