Position Description
The McKesson HR Strategy & Governance Team is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead HR strategic initiatives and associated operational, communications and administrative support. A successful candidate will enjoy being part of a small team and partnering with a wide range of stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Sr. Program Manager will play a vital role in driving critical function projects for the McKesson Human Resources team and report to the Sr Director, HR Strategy and Governance.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
Lead and/or support multiple HR strategic initiatives. Examples include coordinating and organizing design & development, supporting implementation/execution, and monitoring and reporting on project/program status and health
Leverage technology solutions to track progress, accelerate outcomes, improve collaboration, drive communication, and integrate work across teams
Monitor monthly performance against project/program roadmap and develop plans for corrective action when needed
Responsible for and provides oversight for day-to-day program issues. Involves team members as needed to resolve all issues within reasonable time frames and escalates issues to the team leader as necessary
Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals
Strong collaboration with stakeholders and partners to enable speed and alignment
Assist in the sustainment of effective governance processes and protocols for the HR Leadership Team
Support HR Strategy initiatives with inventory, updating and archiving of data, MS Teams channels, documents, and internal SharePoint site, to meet legal retention requirements and ensure employee access to relevant information
Meeting Management
Coordinate, prepare, and communicate meeting agendas for enterprise-wide HR meetings
Responsible for dispatching meeting invitations, scheduling meeting rooms and arranging resources and other requirements in support of smooth and efficient meeting facilitation
Support large enterprise-wide HR meetings with planning, execution, and coordination with all internal and external vendors
Assist with post-meeting action items and distribution of content
Lead coordination of cross-functional team collaboration needs including scheduling, technology, and leader engagement and availability
Support HR special meetings as needed
Communications Management
Develop, curate, and deliver compelling HR communications across various platforms (email, MS Teams, SharePoint, HR Resources Hub, presentations, and more. Partner with Corporate Communications on implementing functional communication strategies and supporting key initiatives
Support coordination of presentation and support material – assist in design and medium selection for audiences and content. Responsible for version of materials and track and manage stakeholder approval where appropriate
Coordinate, distribute and archive surveys / feedback gathered in relation to meetings. May be responsible for research, design and implementation of feedback tools and with internal teams. Monitoring of feedback channels (chat, email, MS Teams)
HR Business Administration
Serve as Business Continuity Coordinator for the HR function, ensuring that business continuity plans are in compliance and updated as required
Serve as the Trade Organization Membership Coordinator for the HR function, ensuring that memberships agreements are kept current and users licenses are utilized effectively and productively
Responsible for partnering with finance teams on budget planning and management and to provide HR Leadership targeted financial analytics. Critical activities include headcount tracking and allocation, Long Range Plan activities, and management of discretionary fund budgets at an enterprise level
Handle invoice submissions for relevant cost centers
To qualify for this role, you must have:
A 6+ year track record of project management experience and the commensurate strong organizational skills to execute against multiple goals at once with minimal direction
An execution orientation with extensive experience engaging with and presenting to senior leadership
Experience developing and editing communications for executive leadership, employee audiences, and cross-functional teams, ensuring messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals.
An ability to navigate the organizational structure of McKesson and influence without authority
Superior attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability, willingness to probe into various business scenarios, interpret internal or external issues and recommend solutions based on best practices
High proficiency with Microsoft applications

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
