We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Durham, NC.

In this role you will be identifying opportunities from vendor expenditure, instigating and leading purchasing processes to realize benefits, and ensuring adherence to the IQVIA Transnational corporate purchasing policy which encourages vendor competition.

What you’ll be doing:

• Extracting spend data from accounts payable or other databases, creating spend reports in various formats and carrying out analysis to highlight potential opportunities.
• Extracting spend files from vendors to create baselines spend for key purchasing categories.
• Identifying purchasing programs where change will impact the business.
• Acting as purchasing lead for sourcing activities and presenting findings and recommendations to management as directed.
• Identifying and managing key team members for purchasing processes, obtaining support from stakeholders and creating requirements for purchasing exercises.
• Benchmarking and validating opportunities by Requests for Information, and preparing and issuing competitive Requests for Proposals.
• Designing vendor management programs, organizing monthly and quarterly meetings, collecting and monitoring IQVIA data as input to the vendor performance reporting and preparing vendor performance scores for internal distribution.
• Creating and implementing on-line auctions using eAuction technology.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 7 years’ experience of which three should be in purchasing, supply chain management, materials management, procurement or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of purchasing methodologies, principles, theories, processes and practices.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $84,200.00 - $140,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
