The Consulting Sales Manager takes a lead role in shaping bids and defining scope in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. They act as a bridge between Professional Services, Product and Sales teams and are an expert at safely projecting effort and cost whilst presenting the company and product in the most beneficial way to solve particular customer problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients, presenting our services and capabilities in a compelling and professional manner.
  • Lead non-technical discovery sessions to understand client needs and business objectives, ensuring alignment with our service offerings.
  • Respond to RFPs, specifically addressing professional services questions with accuracy and strategic insight.
  • Develop and present rough orders of magnitude estimates for project implementation costs based on initial discovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to ensure proposals and project scopes are accurate and feasible.
  • Facilitate effective communication between clients and project teams, ensuring expectations are clearly set and met.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven background in professional services, with recent experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide high-level estimates and project insights.
  • Experience in preparing detailed responses to RFPs and in facilitating initial project scoping.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with sales and technical teams.
