Senior Technical Product Manager – FHIR

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Senior Technical Product Manager to join the InterSystems Data Platform Health Tech Team. As the Senior Technical Product Manager for FHIR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product strategy for FHIR within the InterSystems Data Platform.

Responsibilities

  1. Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for FHIR, aligning with the company's overarching vision and objectives.
  2. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in FHIR Implementation Guides, FHIR Server, FHIR Platform development, FHIR Versioning, FHIR Analytics, Bulk FHIR operations, FHIR Subscription, and FHIR Façade and Repository implementations.
  3. Cloud Experience: Highly desirable experience in cloud-based environments, leveraging cloud technologies for scalable and efficient FHIR solutions.
  4. Market Analysis: Stay current on industry trends, market needs, and competitive activities related to FHIR and healthcare interoperability within data platforms.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Leverage deep experience in FHIR standards to ensure compliance, with specific emphasis on Implementation Guides, regulatory frameworks, and interoperability standards.
  6. Roadmap Development: Create and manage a detailed product roadmap for FHIR within the Data Platform, integrating the latest advancements and customer requirements.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, sales, and other teams to ensure seamless alignment on product development and delivery.
  8. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand needs, and integrate insights into the FHIR product development process.
  9. Development and Release Management: Lead, communicate, and oversee end-to-end product development and release processes, ensuring timely and high-quality releases of FHIR solutions.
  10. Documentation: Develop comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical specifications.
  11. Training and Support: Work collaboratively with training and support teams to create materials and resources for successful customer adoption and satisfaction.
  12. Innovation: Drive innovation in FHIR technologies, incorporating the latest advancements to enhance the InterSystems Data Platform Health Tech offerings.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience (3/5+ years) in product management with a focus on healthcare interoperability, FHIR standards, and data platforms.
  3. Extensive technical background with hands-on experience in FHIR Server Management, FHIR Implementation Guides, FHIR Versioning, FHIR Analytics, Bulk FHIR Operations, FHIR Subscription, and FHIR Façade and Repository implementations.
  4. Highly desirable experience in cloud-based environments, with a proven ability to leverage cloud technologies for scalable and efficient FHIR solutions.
  5. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  6. Successful track record in bringing FHIR products to market, from concept to widespread adoption.
  7. In-depth knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, CCDs, X12 and profound expertise in FHIR standards.
  8. Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
