Overview

Position Overview:
The Director, Solutions Engineering, is accountable for all the technical decisions and integration patterns, roadmaps, deliverables, and stakeholder management that impact our business priorities and processes. You are an experienced leader with a deep technical understanding of Agile methodologies, application architecture design and integration, who can effectively lead us to our target state. This role will be managing software engineering teams in support of HealthEdge’s software products.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with healthcare insurance payer organizations throughout the US in support of HealthEdge’s vision to drive innovation with next-generation technology and solutions. HealthEdge’s mission is to revolutionize healthcare through transaction automation and enablement of real-time business and clinical engagement among healthcare payers, providers, and patients. Our passionate, collaborative, and results-oriented team works remotely from coast to coast within the US as well as in various locations across India, with employees who specialize in healthcare payer business and technology. We are offering an opportunity to work in a key role with a highly skilled, entrepreneurially focused team. This position offers the flexibility of working from home.

About Global Professional Services:

Our Global Professional Services team supports customer-funded service delivery initiatives separate from standard SaaS license support activities. Examples include customer implementations, business expansion, and optimization initiatives.

Your Impact:

  • Direct and guide teams to find the optimal technology solutions and integration patterns to meet the business needs
  • Lead, manage, and oversee projects, initiatives, and daily operations Manage/collaborate a large set of business stakeholders to deliver on established OKRs and corporate goals
  • Develop best practices, guidelines, and centralized governance structure, roles, responsibilities, and processes to support long-term goals
  • Work with Product Management on new products and enhancements
  • Develop, implement and improve the software development process, including analysis, design, code development, test, and support
  • Mentor and train your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing career growth opportunities, giving constructive feedback, and managing conflict when necessary
  • Work with the customer support and Technical Operations teams assisting in resolution of support issues
  • Perform all job functions consistent with HealthEdge policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Software, Information Technology or related field
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Sr. Manager with demonstrated experience leading geographically distributed teams
  • Experience with a SaaS platform for building applications to support moving workflow/data-processing
  • Effectively able to manage, coach, and mentor software engineers
  • Experience building and supporting mission critical applications leveraging industry best practices and trends
  • Ability to be both strategic (roadmaps, architecture, planning, etc.) and tactical (specs, code review, root cause analysis, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience building strong working relationships with Executive and Senior management and business user communities across various functions
  • Experience implementing various Agile practices and methodologies

Geographic Responsibility: HealthEdge is located in Burlington, MA. In-office presence once a week is preferred.
