Job Description Summary
Manage the USCAN/LATAM regional sourcing and procurement contracts/strategies across CAPEX aligned with the global category direction which represent approximately $100M in spend at GE Healthcare. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal contractual terms while ensuring internal stakeholder satisfaction. Leverage industry knowledge and market trends to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement in sourcing practices. Build relationships with critical business stakeholders to ensure current and future business requirement met.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Managed the bidding and contract negotiations for Facilities and MRO CAPEX (Construction and Plant P&E)
- Define and execute sourcing or category management strategies aligned with business goals.
- Coordinate with global sourcing leads to ensure regional strategies are in line with global strategic vision.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with GRE, AME, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and business teams in region.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide sourcing decisions.
- Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead or support supplier transitions, audits, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and report on category performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality systems, and legal requirements.
- Support regional sourcing initiatives and projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
- Strong spend analytics skills, ability to develop business cases, negotiation strategies, present to senior executives and influence change.
- Proven expertise in negotiation, with a strong track record of successfully negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.
- Expertise in developing complex RFx’s and negotiating contracts and statement of works.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Written and verbal fluency in English.
- Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel and communicate outside of typical work hours.
- Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity.
Desired Characteristics:
- Expertise in specific sourcing categories (e.g., MRO, construction, building trades, manufacturing equipment, spare parts & equipment repair & maintenance).
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools and systems.
- Fluency in Spanish and additional languages a plus.
