Job Description Summary
As a Customs Compliance Leader - Europe, you will be responsible to ensure Customs Compliance to the internal GEHC policies and external customs regulations within Europe and globally. You will be partnering with Customs Operations team of GEHC in region on Internal/External Audits and AEO certification programs.As part of the customs compliance team, you will also be responsible for Administrative Service Provider (ASP) process of Due Diligence and renewals. A critical part of the role also includes reviewing and ensuring compliance to Customs Valuation regulations, procedures and policies related to products and services as laid down by WCO/WTO and other customs agencies globally.
You will also work on need basis on global projects related to improving Customs Compliances.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Driving Business Customs SOPs while working with Customs Operations,
IPP/ASP Risk Oversight for Business and support agent escalations,
Performing Risk based audits (i.e.: Wing to Wing or Focused audits or Theme based audits etc.), publishing results, and execute improvement projects,
Working with various business functions to implement company strategy around Customs Valuation in line with WCO/WTO regulations,
Implementing Customs Valuation compliance policies & Procedures, relating to Incoterms guidance, non-PO valuation approach, Disclosures (as needed) related to Transfer Pricing Adjustments, Assists, Royalties and other additions to value.
Local Agent Due Diligence Execution as per global governance needs.
Reviewing & ensuring agent invoice Reviews (BIR) are being performed in accordance with the ASP/IPP Policy of GEHC
Internal Audit Root Cause Analysis & Execution & Corrective action,
Collaborating and coordinating along with Customs OPS team on Internal and External Customs audits. Also support AEO related activities.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED with experience in Customs processes,
Strong Customs Operations experience, including Customs Compliance & Valuation related practical knowledge,
Experience in the Customs Compliance and Valuation.
Knowledge of WCO / WTO related Customs Valuation regulations and interplay with Transfer pricing policies,
Hands-on experience in determining valuation and interacting with customs jurisdictions.
Experience with Valuation, global tariff classification, country of origin determination, global trade management systems and ERP systems like Oracle/SAP etc.,
Ability to fluently communicate in English (verbal & written); Additionally knowledge of any other foreign language used within EU is preferred.
