The Senior Compliance Investigator will be part of the GE Healthcare (‘GEHC’) Ombuds Investigations team which has overall responsibility for global investigations and monitoring support. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead Ombuds investigations mainly addressing concerns raised regarding non-compliance with GEHC’s Spirit & Letter Compliance Policies and the Global Interactions Policy. This includes interviews, research, documentation review, presentation preparation, and data analysis.
Develop and report investigation findings and recommendations on remediation and corrective actions to various stakeholders, including GEHC senior leadership.
Act as a resource for colleagues with less investigations experience.
As needed, coordinate with and work in partnership with the Global Litigation & Investigations team on privileged investigations.
As needed, and in partnership with global and regional compliance and other stakeholders, coordinate and/or execute corrective actions arising from investigations and audit/monitoring findings.
As needed, support to build up digital compliance solutions to drive proactive compliance engagement or facilitate investigation execution.
As needed, utilize company data, system resources to develop the monitoring / audit plan for compliance related issues. Produce clear, concise, relevant and timely monitoring/audit reports. Keep track of monitoring activity planning, scoping, work performed, key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Support other ad hoc tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
Significant experience in legal, healthcare, compliance and/or regulatory in a global business environment
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in compliance, law, internal audit, or controllership in a global business environment, including a minimum of 3 years of investigations experience in one or more of the following areas: bribery/corruption/other improper payments, conflicts of interest, intellectual property loss, falsified documents/manipulated financial records, procurement fraud and potential violation of competition laws.
Prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously and drive projects to conclusion. Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments despite pressure.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Fluent in English.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and data processing skills, with proven ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, analyze, and discuss complex investigations and findings/recommendations at a senior level and produce a clear and compelling report.
Strong Word, Power Point and Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP’s, pivots) skills. Ability of data processing and utilization.
Process and detail-oriented; strong organizational skills. Demonstrated project leadership skills.
Proven analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills,
Highest personal integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and respectful manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust.
Desired Characteristics
Master’s or law degree
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
High level of cultural sensitivity, flexibility, and emotional intelligence in order to work effectively within GEHC's multicultural environment.
Being open to change in response to new information and different or unexpected circumstances.
Working knowledge of GEHC compliance policies/procedures, processes, tools, and controls would be a plus.
