The primary responsibility of this role is to provide multi-functional leadership and strategic direction for future growth of our Molecular Imaging portfolio within Oncology in key markets of US and Japan, keeping in mind expansion potential in other markets of relevance.

Job Description

Global Product Leader – Molecular Imaging Oncology

At GE Healthcare we deliver precision health to improve patient lives in moments that matter.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business, a division of GE Healthcare, is a leading supplier of diagnostic imaging agents used in X-Ray, CT, ultrasound, SPECT and PET imaging to provide deep insight that enables clinicians to make confident diagnostic and treatment decisions for patients. Close to a quarter of a million patients every day are imaged using a Contrast Media or Molecular Imaging agent provided or produced by GE Healthcare.

  • Owning the vision and strategic plan for the Oncology segment within PDx Molecular Imaging
  • Ensuring strong customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers, incorporating insights from commercial regional teams, ensuring the “voice of customer” is reflected in the strategy and plans
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs, professional societies and advocacy groups
  • Developing and maintaining deep disease and domain expertise that enables optimisation of the product portfolio in the context of oncology clinical care pathways, bringing prior experience from within the oncology domain
  • Owning life cycle management activities for the products taking into account commercial and customer feedback
  • Owning and driving the global launch strategy and plan for NPI products where appropriate, including partnering with key stakeholders across the business including local commercial teams for each key market
  • Driving the product portfolio to meet the needs of the market. Responsible for strategy and execution of the product roadmaps including identification and evaluation of adjacencies and white spaces based on unmet medical needs to further expand the portfolio and drive both organic and inorganic growth strategy
  • Responsible for building oncology capabilities across the organization to achieve the segment goals
  • Developing relationships with third parties including academics, pharmaceutical companies and other collaborators who could be instrumental in delivering on our strategy
  • Leading multi-functional teams across the organization, which could include marketing, sales, market access, supply chain and R&D teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements; ensuring alignment to deliver business results
  • Defining and leading appropriate market segmentation and positioning strategies for the product segment
  • Driving operating mechanisms to ensure behaviour consistent with integrity, quality systems, and EHS requirements
  • Developing key assumptions for business cases to assess new opportunities including both life cycle management initiatives as well as new opportunities
  • Managing key business financial performance indicators such as revenue, margin and cash related to the relevant products, in collaboration with finance and commercial regions
  • Driving implementation of lean processes and simplification

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Significant experience in product marketing, product development, or related field including experience with both established products, high growth products and new product launches
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
  • Experience within pharmaceutical products, including an appreciation of the relevant dynamics such as regulatory, market access and commercialisation considerations
  • Knowledge of healthcare and diagnostic industry
  • Proven ability to work globally and willingness to travel as required
For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $252,000.00-$378,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
