As a Principal Wireless Architect, you will play a critical role in the development and management of wireless networks. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust, secure, and high-performance wireless infrastructure. To excel in this role, you need to possess a broad skill set and a strategic approach to wireless network architecture and design.
As a Principal Wireless Architect, you will ensure that the organization's network services are highly available, and performant while interacting with Operations, Digital Workplace, Identity, IT Security and various other Teams. Also you will be ensuring alignment with security practices while enabling business productivity.
This role requires a deep understanding of wireless technologies, extensive experience, and a wide range of technical skills and competencies.

Responsibilities
Designing and implementing high-performance, scalable, and secure wireless network architectures across the organization,
Leading the development, optimization, and maintenance of wireless infrastructure to ensure exceptional connectivity for GE HealthCare employees and services,
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Digital Workplace, Identity, and IT Security, to ensure seamless integration and network alignment,
Evaluating and adopting new wireless technologies and standards to enhance performance and scalability,
Ensuring wireless network services meet stringent availability, reliability, and security standards,
Proactively identifin g and resolving complex wireless connectivity and performance issues,
Enforcing best practices in wireless security, compliance, and data protection protocols,
Conducting strategic planning and capacity assessments to support business growth and digital transformation,
Acting as a subject matter expert for wireless networking, offering guidance and mentorship across teams,
Driving documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives for wireless systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience working in a heterogeneous IT infrastructure environment, with various IT systems, technologies, platforms, concepts, and applications
Experience of working with hybrid data centers
Fluent English
Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant certifications, such as Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) or CCIE Enterprise Wireless (CCIE).

Technical Expertise
In-depth knowledge of RF theory, including propagation, interference, and spectrum management, is crucial for optimizing wireless network performance.
Stay updated with the latest wireless standards and technologies, including Wi-Fi (802.11), cellular (4G/5G), Bluetooth, and other emerging wireless protocols,
Conducting wireless site surveys to assess signal coverage, interference, and signal quality for network planning and deployment,
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve wireless network issues efficiently,
Knowledge of integrating wireless networks with other technologies, such as IoT, cloud services, and virtualization.
Proficiency in wireless network security protocols, encryption methods, and best practices to protect data and network integrity.
Demonstrated and hands-on experience with Cisco ISE.
Experience with network automation technologies such as Ansible.
Experience with at least one programming language and familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs.
Strong desire for automation 'first' concept and IaaC. Experience with (Terraform, Cloudformation, Bicep).
Experience in managing version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of AWS and Azure networking, SDN/NFV space is plus.
