Job Description Summary
The Commercial Contracting Analyst is responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Specifically responsible for the order entry and the commercial contracting financial processes. The position requires adherence to the Controllership and accounting standards and policies and applying those concepts when processing commercial transactions. This role will report to the Director of Commercial Finance and Operations in STO, whose team supports the contract entry, billing and revenue recognition for Global GE Healthcare software and subscription transactions.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
- Commercial Finance representative to Sales, focusing on contract review, customer billing, and revenue recognition accounting requirements.
- Conduct thorough reviews of client agreements for standardized contract compliance and entry into billing and revenue recognition ERP tools. Ensure accurate forecasting of billing and revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Supply Chain Operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of software to customers.
- Engage in monthly and quarterly revenue close processes and support analysis for Finance and other business leadership.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal customers and partners, including Sales, Legal, Services, IT, Controllership, and other finance teams.
- Apply in-depth knowledge and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Possess basic knowledge of related job disciplines and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls for contract revenue accounting.
- Utilize finance systems expertise to ensure systemic alignment with processes and help remediate accounting disconnects.
- Employ lean, simplification, and Six Sigma tools to enhance finance systems effectiveness and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university or college (or an Associate’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Finance or Commercial Business Operations).
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such as Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle PeopleSoft.
- Experience in Commercial Operations Management with a solid understanding of software revenue recognition compliance.
- Basic understanding of financial compliance standards including ASC 606, SOX, and GAAP.
- Proven experience in financial systems support, including setup maintenance, transaction flow optimization, end-user support/training, and financial activities support (e.g., closing the books).
- Strong PC skills, with experience in financial systems/applications and advanced Excel skills for data compilation and aggregation (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros).
- Excellent analytical skills, capable of clearly linking financial results to operational performance drivers, generating alternatives, and driving positive change.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a track record of successfully leading projects and process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working across multiple levels, functions, and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner and deliver messages effectively both verbally and in writing.
