The Anesthesia Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling all types of anesthesia equipment to hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgical center in the San Antonio S. & W. Texas territory. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining good relations with all customers within his/her area of responsibility as well as providing excellent customer service through product demonstrations, clinical support, educational seminars, and technical advice.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Sell anesthesia equipment by scheduling appointments, making presentations, responding to requests for information, and developing proposals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers (KDMs) within each account.
  • Conduct follow-up visits after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction with both the product and the service provided.
  • Monitor accounts for potential sales and provide feedback to management on market trends and changes in customer needs.
  • Promote the sale of optional accessories related to the anesthesia machines being sold.
  • Coordinate rental units and accessory rentals to customers as needed.
  • Assure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including but not limited to expense reports, time sheets, and sales activity records.
  • Maintain organized records and files including but not limited to customer information, demonstration equipment, and warranty information.
  • Communicate regularly with office staff regarding new products, special promotions, changes in policies and procedures, and any other significant developments related to the business.
  • Attend meetings and participate in conferences as required.
  • Become actively involved in community affairs by participating in local professional organizations, lecturing at educational programs, and conducting workshops or demonstrations as requested.
  • Provide input and assistance with marketing efforts and new product introductions.
  • Maintain established corporate compliance standards and code of conduct.
  • All other duties and assignments as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree & 3 years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED & 6 years of experience; OR Bachelors Degree & a graduate of GE HealthCare CLP
  • Demonstrated experience presenting complex information both verbally and written to decision makers.
  • Must live in the territory and be willing to travel 50% within the territory.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Operating Room experience working with anesthesiologists
  • ICU experience
  • Experience in hospital/clinic sales strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and medical professionals.
  • High level of self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must have demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite.
    Must have a valid driver’s license.
