The Gas Power Logistics organization is seeking a strong demonstrated global operations leader to leverage their understanding of the Gas Power Portfolio supply chain operations, transportation strategies and technologies to identify and develop objectives and initiatives to that meet the organization’s SQDC deliverables.Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop, Implement and manage the operational budget
- Review, develop and measure key operational metrics
- Identify, Prepare, manage and communicate the operational strategy in support of the overarching business & company strategy
- Partner with logistics sourcing leadership to develop a cohesive operational strategy
- Drive proactive safety building a positive safety culture will decrease transport incidents and claims
- Cultivate continuous improvement and quality that drives improvement to the transport execution process, procedure and execution
- Be an active voice in leadership reviews and drive decision making
- Support training & implementation process improvements identified
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in Senior management role with specific experience gained from logistics, transport or supply chain industry
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Prior People Leader experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean/continuous improvement or Six Sigma experience
- Financial Acumen/Budget development and management
- Ability to communicate complex information efficiently based on audience needs
- Cross functional understanding for new units Project and Services operations & KPIs
- Project scope development inclusive of scope, budget, and schedule
- Demonstrated ability to use knowledge, experience and instinct to make accurate and timely decisions
- Demonstrated ability of working with all levels of internal and external organizations
- Demonstrated ability to implement simple, fast and non-bureaucratic process improvements
- Experience in working with global teams and demonstrates a global mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Self Starter
