Summary
As a Clinical Informaticist, you will serve as a clinical expert to ensure the safe delivery of eClinicalWorks healthcare technology products. You will help drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for technology that powers client success and business growth. Your mission will be to play an integral part in the release of high-quality customer-focused products that set the bar for patient safety. This work will be achieved by working collaboratively with various teams (design, engineering, etc.) to build advanced healthcare technology products. eClinicalWorks moves fast, thinks big, and provides innovative product solutions to meet clients’ needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide functional support throughout the software development life cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance products’ safety, quality, and usability
- Review and evaluate requirements for clinical products, modules, and workflows, for completeness and accuracy
- Work closely with R&D teams to engineer prompts for Clinical AI (Artificial Intelligence) products and functionalities
- Perform and document validations on the output generated by the Clinical AI products and functionalities
- Create and maintain documentation related to clinical risk processes, including Hazard Logs and safety case reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to address patient safety issues by recommending corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and maintain clinical content for various medical specialties within the EHR product suite
- Work with implementation and data migration teams to engage with customers and assist with onboarding/optimizing client workflows and product utilization
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Foster a culture of safety within the organization
- Periodic travel to the company headquarters is required
- Travel to customer sites, tradeshows, conferences, and events as needed (up to 20% of the time)
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Applicable Pharmacology Degree
- Currently registered as a licensed PharmD
- Minimum of 5+ years of direct patient care experience in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting
Required Skills
- Served as a clinical lead, super user, or go-live support during a major EHR implementation or migration
- Led clinical decision support (CDS) build, testing, or validation projects
- Conducted patient safety investigations involving health IT systems
- Participated in or helped to evaluate clinical AI pilot projects
- Regular participation in EHR optimization, governance, or clinical content committees
- Consistent involvement in quality improvement or patient safety initiatives with a health IT component
- Served as a department or unit-level EHR resource over an extended period
- Testing, validating, or providing feedback on clinical software, AI tools, or CDS logic
- Familiarity with patient safety frameworks, root cause analysis, or clinical risk documentation
- Exposure to healthcare AI concepts (as an end user, pilot participant, or evaluator)
- Certification in Clinical Informatics (AMIA, ANCC, ABPM subspecialty, or similar)
Preferred skills
- Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, V2, CDA)
- Healthcare regulatory knowledge (ONC, FDA guidance on clinical software, Joint Commission)
- Project management experience or certification
- Process improvement methodology experience (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Healthcare leadership or administrative experience
Compensation:
Salary Range - $125,000 - $150,000 USD
This role will receive a competitive salary and benefits. The salary for employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range above, exclusive of potential bonuses. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as professional background, skills, education, and experience.
