This Finance Position will support Optum – inclusive of budgeting/forecasting, reporting, analytics, productivity, savings planning, strategic initiatives modeling, and other ad hoc financial support. Position work closely with senior leadership and Operations teams on expense efficiency initiatives or growth opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Participates in the development of business strategy with Operations teams
- Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
- Produce clear, well-formatted reports and presentations that communicate a clear, compelling message for management
- Assist with management reporting and system reconciliation
- Assist with periodic forecast and budget creation for business leadership
- Analyze trends in revenue, product line profitability, membership, SG&A and other areas of business

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- 1+ years of finance/accounting or systems experience in post graduate or internship experience
- Experience working collaboratively and influencing others within a matrix organization
- Proficiency in MS Excel skills, including financial modeling experience
- Proven ability to work independently with little supervision, prioritize work and be a self-starter
- Proven excellent written communication skills and the ability to verbally communicate ideas clearly & confidently
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Experience using Tableau, Power BI, Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
- Healthcare experience
- Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented; solid organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, deadlines and changing priorities
- Possess initiative, be a self-starter, self-directed, highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
