This operational position exists to service the Optum Bank Health Savings Account (HSA) product for employers and individuals. Major areas of responsibility include understanding IRS rules and regulations pertaining to the HSA, processing tax and transactional corrections, clearly communicating with internal partners, and performing complex research. A financial background combined with strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to change fast-paced environment are key to your success in this position.

This position is full time. Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am – 5pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 12921 South Vita Station Blvd Draper, UT .

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Processing incoming transactional requests from consumers and employers.
  • Researching and resolving moderate to complex customer issues.
  • Initiating and balancing transactions to DDA and GL accounts.
  • Performing various transaction postings and corrections with understanding of tax implications to the HSA product.
  • Initiating incoming and outgoing ACH transactions.
  • Communicating with internal partners to resolve requests and issues.
  • Providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment while dealing with sensitive information and situations.
  • Seeking out process improvements.
  • Promptness, reliability, and accuracy in work, especially when dealing with deposit transactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 6 Months Banking, Financial Transactions, or Insurance industry experience.
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office including Word (create and edit documents)
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Excel (input, sort and interpret data)
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Outlook (manage email and calendar)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the IRS rules and regulations related to Health Savings Accounts.
  • Proficient with data entry; keyboarding and ten-key.
  • Operational experience related to banking accounts.
