Position Details:

Schedule: Full time, 38.75 hours/weekly, Monday through Friday, shifts 7:30A – 4:00P, 8:30A – 5:00P, 9:00A – 5:30P. No nights, no weekends, and seven paid holidays

Department: Radiology

Locations: Float position covering the following locations; Leominster, Worcester, Auburn, Holden, Milford, Shrewsbury, Westboro and Southboro. This position is eligible for mileage reimbursement.

The radiology technologist provides general direction of the Supervisor and/or Senior Technologist, and utilizes independent judgment to provide radiological services to patients while adhering to department organizational policies, procedures and standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides radiographic diagnostic services by operating the C-arm and other equipment/devices as necessary. Evaluates scouts and spot imaging for technical quality and positioning. Troubleshoots and problem solves certain factors before calling service. Produces quality imaging to aid doctor in pain procedures and conforms to department standards
  • Maintains sound employee radiation safe practices that are in compliance with ALARA and the standards set by the State of Massachusetts. Always wear proper lead shielding for self-protection. Proficient in C-ARM positioning and maneuverability
  • Maintains proper sterile and aseptic technique for patients and required sterile fields. Provided support within the confines of the procedure room
  • Maintains or reports on established supply shelf levels for the department. Stocks rooms and rotate stock on shelves with replacements when supplies arrive
  • Checks the supplies in the department on a daily basis and communicates low stock levels to appropriate people
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills required to perform processes involved in the delivery of age-appropriate care. Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a two-year program with accredited school of Radiologic Technology with an Associate Degree
  • Commonwealth of Massachusetts registered Radiology Technology License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualification:

  • EMR experience (EPIC)
