Hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 8:30am & 5:00pm. No weekends, evenings or holidays

Specialty: Orthopedics

If you are located in Worcester, MA area, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. One remote day per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork
  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
  • Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s
  • Administer injections and collect specimens
  • Document patient care using EPIC electronic medical record software
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current, unrestricted nursing license (i.e. RN, LPN, LVN) in the state of Massachusetts
  • Ability to commute to the office location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR certification
  • Additional healthcare certifications including ARRT, CEHRS, CBCS, CMAA, CPT
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician
  • EMR/EHR experience
  • Experience with medical front office and back office duties including vitals, phlebotomy, injections, casting/splinting, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications
