The Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to patients while adhering to the standards of nursing practice, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Provides care to patients ranging with the ages of infants to geriatrics.

Position Details:

  • Location: 5 Neponset Street, Worcester, MA
  • Department: Family Practice/Internal Medicine (Float)
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, full time 38.75 hours with shifts varying between 7:30AM to 5:00PM

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments
  • Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs
  • Document patient care using electronic medical record software
  • Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations
  • Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently licensed as a RN / LPN in the State of Massachusetts
  • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years LPN experience in an ambulatory setting with telephone triage
  • IV therapy and other department specific skills training

Physical Requirement:

  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
