Summary
Cedar Gate Services is looking for a few highly skilled Software QA Engineer 2 to join our team. As a Software QA Engineer 2, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our healthcare IT solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, usability, performance, and security of applications
• Identify, document, and track defects, issues, and risks in defect tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software quality assurance, and propose process improvements and innovative testing solutions

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA engineers, share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA team's skills and capabilities
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in Test Management, Test Automation Tools, and Defect Tracking Tools
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, reproduce, and isolate defects
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
• Experience with performance testing tools/ methodologies
• Knowledge of API testing will be plus
• Knowledge of at least one DBMS

Preferences

• Background in US healthcare and claim payment processes, including knowledge of industry standards such as HIPAA and experience with healthcare claims processing systems, is a plus
