Summary
Cedar Gate Services is looking for Software Engineers (Java) to join our team. The role involves writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code while working under the supervision of managers from the Analytics and Product Security teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and assess project needs
• Write complete software or parts of it in Java/Groovy/Grails
• Write industry-standard code
• Create architectural designs
• Analyze existing systems written in Java, produce estimates, and modify them according to requirements
• Conduct unit testing to ensure software reliability
• Perform code reviews to maintain quality standards
• Debug and resolve software defects
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Continuously improve software development processes and practices

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent)
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of well-known design patterns
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Sound knowledge of any one DBMS
• Knowledge of web services/JSON/OOP/Restful APIs
• Strong knowledge of server-side programming and client-side programming
• Additional knowledge of either Python, Ruby, ReactJS, and AngularJS is a plus
